This Privacy Policy explains how NOVASTORY ANIMATION MEDIA LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our"), based in Hong Kong, handles information when you use NeonDrama, our short-drama mini application available through TikTok, and when you contact us about the service.
TikTok operates its own platform and processes information under its own privacy policy. This policy describes our processing in connection with NeonDrama; it does not replace TikTok's privacy disclosures.
1. Information we process
Platform identifier
Where TikTok makes login available, the mini application can request a temporary login code. Our service exchanges that code through TikTok for an application-specific identifier called an openId. We use the identifier to understand application usage. Some visits may be recorded without this identifier when login is unavailable. We do not ask you for your TikTok password, telephone number, nickname, or profile photograph.
Usage and diagnostics
We collect application and release identifiers, session and event identifiers, timestamps, language and operating-system categories, and activity within the mini application. This can include pages visited, the drama and episode being played, playback starts and duration, buffering and errors, application foreground and background activity, and advertising request, display, completion, and failure events. Events can also include the reward-unlock rule associated with a viewing link.
When your device requests pages, media, or logging endpoints, hosting and network providers necessarily receive connection information such as an IP address and request headers to deliver those requests. This connection information is distinct from the application event fields described above.
Information on your device
The mini application uses local storage for viewing progress, unlocked episodes or reward stages, language preference, and the active reward policy. These records help restore your viewing experience. They are tied to the current device or browser storage and are not a promise of cross-device synchronization.
Information you send us
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to provide. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. How we use information
- Deliver dramas, restore local viewing progress, and apply the reward-unlock rules presented in the application.
- Understand visits, viewing activity, and advertising performance.
- Investigate playback failures and other technical problems and improve service reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and intellectual-property enquiries.
- Maintain service security and meet applicable legal requirements.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, the relevant basis depends on the activity: providing the service you request, our interests in operating and improving it, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
3. Advertising and platform services
NeonDrama is supported by advertising. TikTok's advertising services can display rewarded video advertisements and interstitial advertisements. We record events about requesting and displaying these advertisements, including whether the application receives a completion callback needed to unlock content.
TikTok and its advertising providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Please consult TikTok's privacy and advertising settings for controls available to your account and region. Our event logs do not give us access to your TikTok password or payment details.
4. Providers and disclosures
We use Cloudflare to deliver media and operate the logging gateway, and Axiom to process application usage and diagnostic events. Application event batches sent to these services may contain the application-specific openId and the usage information described in section 1. These identifiers are not the same as anonymous data.
We may disclose information when required by applicable law, to address security incidents or protect rights, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. We do not publish your individual viewing history. We do not provide application event logs to advertisers as a separate data product.
5. Storage, retention, and international processing
Application event logs are sent to our Axiom dataset configured in the United States. Cloudflare uses a distributed network to deliver content and process requests. Processing may therefore occur outside your country of residence. Applicable privacy protections may differ between locations; where required, we apply the safeguards relevant to the transfer.
Server-side logs are kept according to the retention settings of the relevant analytics or hosting service. Support correspondence is retained for handling the enquiry and any related legal obligations. We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, subject to applicable retention requirements.
Viewing progress, language preferences, and unlock records remain in local storage until they are replaced or removed, you clear the relevant application or browser data, or the host removes that storage. Clearing it may reset your progress and unlock records.
6. Security
Our application uses HTTPS for its public media and logging endpoints. We restrict access to operational credentials and logs. No network service or device storage is completely secure. If an incident requires notification under applicable law, we will provide the required notification.
7. Your choices and rights
You can clear local application data using the controls provided by your browser or TikTok host. Available device and TikTok privacy controls depend on your platform and region. Clearing device storage does not automatically delete records already sent to our service.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access or correct personal information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. To make a request, email dramaemma.dev@outlook.com and name NeonDrama. We may need proportionate information to verify the request and identify the relevant records. You do not need to send us your password.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons. A request to us does not delete your TikTok account or information held independently by TikTok. You may also complain to the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your circumstances.
8. Children and eligibility
The service is intended for people who meet TikTok's age requirements and the legal requirements for accessing the content in their region. We do not direct the service to children below the minimum age permitted to use it. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in circumstances requiring its removal, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. The current version and its effective date will be available on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before a relevant change takes effect.
